What we do

The big platforms try to cover every business, then leave you to configure the rest. We go the other way: pick one industry, learn how its small businesses actually run, and build exactly that. Then we keep developing it, as the industry, its rules, and the competition move.

Most software companies rent everything underneath their product and hope it holds. We run ours. When something needs attention, the people who wrote the software and the people who run the servers are the same people - and they are the ones who reply when you ask for help.
That is slower to build and harder to fake. It is also why our customers message us directly instead of opening a ticket with a hosting company.

became a SaaS company.
Metrex started in Winnipeg in 1999, building websites and business systems for other people. Some of those systems outgrew the projects they started as. The ones that stuck became platforms; the servers under them became our cloud.
Today that is the work: focused software-as-a-service, each platform built for one industry and the small businesses in it, on infrastructure we run ourselves. We are not trying to be the platform for everyone.
We are a small team on purpose. Everyone here is close to the software, close to the infrastructure, and close to the customer.
