Making A Splash In The Swimming Community

Once in a while, Metrex runs into another organization whose work and efforts are so personally appreciated, that we are pleased and proud to donate our time, services, and expertise to further their cause.

The world of sport is forever in need of dedicated people to volunteer time, services, and sponsorship money.  As government spending decreases on sporting programs, many believe that Private Industry should increase spending, because Sport is a healthy and worthwhile place to donate.

Manitoba Masters Aquatic Club (MMAC) is a Winnipeg-based adult swimming club operating out of the Pan Am Pool.  The club's membership ranges from Beginning swimmer to World Masters competitors and is focused on fitness, fun, and friendship.

Metrex has worked with MMAC to re-design their existing site, which resulted in a sizable expansion.  Potential members and MMAC visitors get a professional impression of the club when they visit, and MMAC members can find current information on upcoming Swim Meets, Social Events, Volunteer Opportunities, Technical Clinics, and more.  MMAC Administrators can control not only all of the site content, but also their domain's email addresses, through the Website's Extranet.

Future upgrades will include Newsletter integration and community-building that will easily allow any number of volunteers to maintain different portions of the site.
